About Owner

We are Michael and Amanda, a married couple who have grown up in the local area. We chose to raise our two children here and enjoy the outdoors as much as possible. Our two cats, dog, ducks, and chickens complete our family. In addition to renting cabins, we are in the real estate and timber management business. We also enjoy volunteering at our kids’ events and community programs. We hope you enjoy the area as much as we always have.

This was our second year booking with Amanda. Everything was great! Again, we will be booking with Amanda in 2026.

Positive: Very clean and warm cabin. Very close to good hiking trails. Fresh towels. Clean linens. Good water. Open spaces. It was everything it said it would be. Negative: I couldn’t book for one night. Only two. So the price was very high for a 1 night stay. I also paid more for a 2 hour advance check in. A cabin in the woods by hiking trails is something my dog and I do together so the no pet rule is unfortunate and is why I couldn’t stay both nights.

Stylish and relaxing holiday Positive: Our stay at the cabin was absolutely wonderful. The location in the forest made for a peaceful and relaxing getaway, surrounded by nature. Inside, the cabin is beautifully designed with modern furnishings that feel both stylish and cozy. The fireplace outside was a highlight—perfect for unwinding in the evenings. Overall, it’s a truly lovely place to stay and we can’t wait to come back! Negative: The kitchen could have a little more light

How fun!!! Two couples stayed in each of Amanda’s treehouses. Loved being able to walk to be together while also having our separate houses and privacy. Immediately felt comfortable. Amanda has put a lot of thought into making your stay enjoyable and worry free.

Communication with host was great. Cabin was very clean and as described in the listing. Great secluded location within 20 minute drive of cook forest. Property itself was beautiful, great star viewing at night! Definitely had a great stay and would consider this cabin for future rentals.
